The diamond is a marquise-cut Lesotho III diamond ring made by Harry Winston. The diamond was called the Lesotho III because it was one of eighteen gems cut from a larger 601-carat rough diamond named the Lesotho, discovered in 1967 in Lesotho, South Africa.

The Jackie Onassis engagement ring was worn twice and kept in a safe in a bank vault in New York most of the time. The diamond’s rating was L-color with a clarity of VS2.

This engagement ring is coordinated with a band also designed by Graff. The band has 15 emerald-cut diamonds and has a 13-carat weight.

For their 10th anniversary, Trump gave Melania another ring that was a 25-carat ring worth $5 million.

The ring has a Type IIa diamond, making it the most chemically pure diamond available. This makes the diamond much more valuable.

Kim reportedly has a second engagement ring with an even larger diamond, but it is not worth as much as the original Type IIa diamond ring is.

This second ring was amongst the pieces of jewelry stolen from her when she was the victim of a robbery in Paris back in 2016. Thieves stole around $10 million worth of jewelry.

Elizabeth Taylor was given a 33.19-carat diamond ring by her husband, Richard Burton. Although it was given to her nearly five years into their relationship, it quickly became one of her favorite and most treasured possessions.

It is a type IIa diamond making it one of the most chemically pure types of diamonds. It is an Asscher cut with a D color rating with VS1 clarity, potentially flawless internally, and slightly better than VVS clarity diamonds.

Richard Burton purchased the diamond at an auction in 1968 for $307,000, and it was formerly known as the Krupp Diamond. After Elizabeth Taylor’s passing in 2011, the Elizabeth Taylor Diamond sold for $8,818,500 ($8.8 million) as part of her estate assets.
